WHAT’S UP WITH NATURE FIRST?

“Many of Earth’s greatest landscapes and treasured public lands are in jeopardy due to increased traffic and decreased care. Therefore, I feel a sense of responsibility to contribute to the preservation of these places. Because of this, I made a commitment and joined Nature First: The Alliance for Responsible Nature Photography.
I’m a proud member of Nature First: The Alliance for Responsible Nature Photography and I’m dedicated to following the principles of Nature First.
Nature First is an organization whose mission is to ‘promote the protection and preservation of the world’s natural and wild places through inspiring, educating, and uniting everyone making photographs and videos in nature; empowering them to be ambassadors of the natural world.’
As a photographer, I explore our natural world almost every day. And, this makes me a perfect candidate to share information and the Nature First principles that will further protect the land and animals we love.
Also, as a nature photographer, it’s easy to assume that my own actions in this great big world are inconsequential. But the opposite is true.“
